Drayage software for Los Angeles and Long Beach
DrayTech supports LA and Long Beach carriers with dispatch, delivery order intake, the driver app, GPS, billing and driver pay, all from one screen.
One system for the busiest port complex in the country
LA and Long Beach carriers move a lot of boxes with thin margins. The work is spread across delivery order emails, appointment portals, GPS apps, spreadsheets and accounting. DrayTech brings the carrier side of that work onto one screen.
What DrayTech does for LA and Long Beach carriers
Delivery orders read for you
Delivery orders arrive by email as PDFs, ZIPs or scans. DrayTech reads them and creates the shipment with every container, customer and reference. Revisions and duplicates are caught. Anything uncertain is flagged for a person, not guessed.
Dispatch on one board
Every open container on one board, with filters for last free day, holds and empties. Multi-leg moves, pre-pulls, yard storage, drop and hook, dual moves and street turns are handled with the right driver on each leg.
The driver app
Drivers see the current trip, the appointment window, the next stop and directions in the DrayTech driver app, in English, Spanish or Chinese. POD and EIR photos upload even with no signal. Drivers and dispatch chat in the app.
GPS that moves the board
Samsara GPS, or the phone's GPS when there is no truck tracker, stamps arrive and depart times at terminals, yards and customers. Those times move each leg forward and back up detention bills.
Billing and driver pay
Invoices draft on delivery with fuel surcharge, chassis days, chassis split, pre-pull, storage and detention. The invoice, DO, POD and EIR are merged into one PDF. Driver pay is posted per leg. See drayage billing.
Terminal connections
We are straightforward about this. At Port Houston and in Oakland, DrayTech is connected to the terminals for tracing and appointments. At Los Angeles and Long Beach, terminal connections are being added terminal by terminal. In a demo, we will show you exactly what is live for the terminals you use, and what your team would still do by hand today.
If you need a connection to a specific terminal or system, tell us. Custom work is built into your DrayTech, often within hours.
Your rates, your rules
Every LA and Long Beach carrier bills a little differently. DrayTech lets you set rates and accessorial rules per customer, and driver pay rules by lane. Daily last free day and open-item reports can be emailed to your team every morning.
Why carriers look at DrayTech
- Less re-typing. The delivery order becomes the shipment, the shipment becomes the invoice.
- Fewer missed charges. Accessorials come from what happened on the move.
- Happier drivers. One simple app in their language.
- Your rules. Billing rules, reports and screens built around how you work.
Proven in a working fleet
DrayTech runs every day inside an operating drayage carrier in Houston and Oakland, and more than 4,700 container legs have run on it. The same platform is available to LA and Long Beach carriers. See the drayage TMS overview for the full picture.
Switching is gradual
You can run DrayTech alongside your current system, then cut over by delivery date. See switching from a legacy drayage TMS.
